Abstract

The problem in this research is, what is the professionalism of teachers in learning Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoarjo? What is the student's learning achievement in learning Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoarjo? Is there an influence of teacher professionalism on students' learning achievement in Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoarjo? The data collection instruments in this research are questionnaires and documentation as primary (main) data collection instruments, observation and interviews as secondary (supporting) data collection instruments. Meanwhile, the technical data analysis used in this research is a statistical analysis technique using the product moment formula, which uses quantitative data. The statistical analysis technique used is inferential statistics, namely trying to show or prove whether there are differences or influences on one or several symptoms. The results show that: Teacher professionalism in Islamic religious education learning was obtained at 36.5 rounded up to 36 in the good category, at the interval 33-39 from the mean it can be concluded that the teacher professionalism variable is good. Student learning achievement in learning Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 1 obtained a mean of 3.66 in category (A-), students obtained a mean of 3.29 in category (B) and students obtained a mean of 3.94 in category (A), There was quite an influence strong from variable X (teacher professionalism) to variable Y (student Islamic religious education learning achievement). This is proven by the rxy obtained is 0.7974 while the respective rt is 5% is 0.213 and 1% is 0.278. Thus it turns out that rxy is greater than rt, because rxy is greater than rt, then Ha is accepted, while Ho is rejected. Based on the results of the research above, it shows that there is an influence of teacher professionalism on students' Islamic religious education learning achievement at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoarjo in the strong category. From this it can be concluded that the hypothesis can be accepted or proven.This research is motivated by the quality of human resources for education personnel who are still unreliable. So that the duties of personnel and administration, both those relating to educators, students, parents of students, sympathizers, and even administrative requests from the Office Branch are often neglected and unresolved. This is because the education staff appointed are still inexperienced, their educational qualifications are not linear, some are still in college, some also have teaching hours, sometimes they still get other assignments from the Foundation, the salary is relatively low, the number of assignments for education personnel and the lack of assistance. from the Principal.. The results of the research show that the management of the principal in improving the quality of human resources for education personnel at the Islamic Vocational School of Darus Salam Sumenep, namely by conducting IHT (In House Training), assisting and directing education personnel, then delegating education personnel to attend special training for educational staff so that human resources qualified and able to carry out all the duties and responsibilities of education personnel with professionalism and quality. And the obstacles faced by the principal in improving the quality of human resources for education personnel at the Islamic Vocational School of Darus Salam Sumenep, namely: 1). The intervention of the chairman of the Foundation in the recruitment of education personnel, 2). The recruited education personnel prioritize alumni who graduate from S1 but their educational qualifications are not linear, 3). The recruited education staff have no experience at all in terms of the duties of educational staff, 4). The low honorarium given to education staff, 5). The recruited education personnel cannot be used as permanent education personnel (permanent employees) who are included in the Dapodik and A GTK East Java.
