Abstract

The aim of this community service activity is to increase the competency of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in compiling Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA) oriented literacy modules. AKM is one of the basic instruments for assessing student learning outcomes in the cognitive aspect. Evaluation in the form of MCA can include reading literacy and numeracy. Reading literacy and numeracy assessments at AKM can be viewed from three aspects, namely content, cognitive processes and context. The problem faced by partner schools is that there is no AKM-oriented learning assessment. This problem needs to be solved immediately, one of which is by assisting in the preparation of MCA-oriented reading literacy modules through the Community Service program. The implementation of this mentoring activity is carried out through four stages, namely: workshops, assistance with module preparation, module implementation, and reflection and follow-up. The partner for this PkM activity is Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Azhar Menganti Gresik with a total of 12 teachers assisting participants. The results of the mentoring show that teacher competence in preparing AKm-oriented assessments is increasing. This can be proven by the variations in the form of questions that are prepared. Starting from complex multiple choice, matching, short entries, and descriptions. Apart from that, teacher enthusiasm and positive response to mentoring activities is an indicator of the achievement of this mentoring activity.
