Focus And Scope

Ahkamuna: Journal of Sharia and Islamic Law focuses on scholarly studies concerning Sharia, Islamic jurisprudence, and Islamic legal thought. The journal welcomes original research articles, conceptual studies, comparative legal analyses, and critical reviews that address both classical Islamic legal traditions and contemporary legal issues.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), usul al-fiqh, Islamic family law, Islamic criminal law, Islamic constitutional and political law, Islamic economic and financial law, Islamic banking, halal studies, waqf and zakat law, contemporary fatwa studies, Islamic legal philosophy, comparative law, socio-legal studies, and the application of Islamic law in modern legal systems.

The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary research that connects Islamic law with human rights, gender studies, technology, environmental issues, globalization, legal reform, social transformation, and other emerging issues.
