Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JIESR undergo a structured and rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, academic relevance, and integrity of published articles. Each manuscript is initially examined by the editorial team to determine whether it is consistent with the journal's focus and scope and whether it meets the basic requirements of academic writing and manuscript preparation.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are subsequently sent to qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject matter of the manuscript. The reviewers independently assess the manuscript's originality, theoretical foundation, research methodology, clarity of presentation, validity of findings, quality of discussion, relevance of references, and overall contribution to the field of Islamic education.

Reviewers provide constructive comments and recommendations that may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The editorial team makes the final publication decision based on the reviewers' recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript, and the journal's academic standards. JIESR seeks to ensure that the peer-review process is conducted fairly, objectively, confidentially, and professionally.
